Are you small enough??

"Oh great God/ Be small enough to hear me now ?There were times when I was crying /From the dark of Daniel's den /And I have asked you once or twice /If you would part the sea again/ But tonight I do not need a fiery pillar in the sky/Just wanna know you're gonna hold me if I start to cry/ Oh great God /Be small enough to hear me now/Oh great God /Be close enough to feel you now/Oh great God/Be close to me/There have been moments when I could not face Goliath on my own/ And how could I forget we marched around our share of Jericho's/ But I will not be setting out a fleece for you tonight/Just want to know that everything will be alright/Oh great God/ Be close enough to feel you now/ Oh praise and all the honor be /To the god of ancient mysteries/Whose every sign and wonder/Turn the pages of our history/But tonight my heart is heavy/And I cannot keep from whispering/This prayer/Are you there?/And I know you could leave writing on the wall/That's just for me/Or send wisdom while I'm sleeping/Like in Solomon's sweet dreams/But I don't need the strength of Samson/Or a chariot in the end/Just want to know that you still know /How many hairs are on my head/Oh great God/Are you small enough/Be small enough to hear me now" Nichole Nordman- Be Small Enough

Even though I know God exists (without a doubt), sometimes I feel as though He doesn't hear me. I don't feel like that often, but sometimes my circumstances bring me to the end of myself, and fog my vision. When life is as we want it to be, its so easy to say we have faith, that we believe God when he says He will never leave nor forsake us. When life is difficult and not exactly as we imagines, its easy to say we don't know if our faith is strong, that maybe God is really too busy to pay attention to our problems. What I have discovered, is that its OK to feel like that, Jesus Himself felt like that.... the important thing is that we don't stay in self pity but in turn cry out to God and refuse to budge until the fog clears. He is faithful to show you the depths of His love in those times. It's in seasons like those that I am so thankful for the gift of His Holy Spirit: Romans 5:3-5
And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Yes God is big and Holy, but because of His death and Resurrection (for us , our sins and separation from God) He parted the curtain and made it possible for us to approach Him , when we accept that beautiful gift we get the Holy Spirit who never leaves us, we are in constant communication with God. He speaks to us, He listens to us. When life makes it harder for us to hear Him, doesn't mean He doesn't hear us! :)
Yes God is also..small enough to hear us!!! He humbled Himself to be a babe in a manger...
I was pondering the beauty of this and thought I would share. <3 <3 <3 <3
