Deare Friend
Dear Friend, As you slept last night, I rejoiced over you with singing. Love filled my heart just like all fathers watching their beloved child sleep. The moonlight spilled onto your pillow and I anxiously waited for the morning when I could awaken you to my love and a new day of my mercies toward you. You moved so quickly, running late. I was overjoyed when you reached for My Word; my heart longing to embrace you—my thoughts to your heart through My word. You read so quickly, and were finished so suddenly. I had more than you know, more than you expected, more than you needed. I was with you in the car on your way—your music drowned out my whispers and the cares of the day kept my presence from view. I felt your frustrations in the afternoon, wanted to soothe your anxious thoughts, but you didn’t pause long enough. I had things to tell you; I had opportunities to minister; I had a promise for you, but you left me no way to convey it. So, I painted you a sunset to close your day and whispered a cool breeze to refresh you. I waited that evening; you never called. The nightly routine finished with heavy eyelids and a thought about prayer, but no embrace. Maybe tomorrow, I cheered myself, maybe tomorrow.Jesus*Pastor Ross read this on Thursday night * <3
